One of the most common health problem in America today is the sitting disease.
A new research is showing that just moving more throughout the day can be healthier for you than a strong workout and then spend the rest of your time sitting.

Any type of movement counts even if it isnโt what you call exercise. Possibilities are endless, follow your intuition.

1. Incorporate movements into your Morning Routine.
2. Walk faster, a great way to pick up the speed is to listen to music with a faster tempo.
3. Cleaning your house daily. Too much clutter can cause stress and fatigue and you are subconsciously reminded of work that needs to be done.
4. Drink lots of water, you would use more bathroom breaks.
5. Standing Up when Making Phone Calls to allows your lungs to be opened and offer you the ability to breathe better. It could add flexibility and dynamic to the way you communicate.
6. Stretching regularly throughout the day. You likely donโt even realize how often youโre looking down at your phone. Raise your phone to eye level so your head isnโt perpetually dropping and causing muscle strain.
7. Turn TV time into a workout, hold a plank during commercial breaks for example.
8. Cooking your own meals. Eating a well-balanced diet can help you get the calories and nutrients you need to move more throughout the day. Try to discover which foods give you the most energy and which have negative effects.
9. Wear a fitness tracker. My mom loves it, she does 7,000 steps minimum in a day. She set daily goals and find ways to reach those.
10. Replace your chair with an exercise ball. The instability of an exercise ball increase core strength will improve your posture, decrease discomfort and burn calories.
11. Try to Set Goals for your Amount of Sitting Time.
12. Try Active Meditation. It can be an ideal way to meditate if youโre the type of person who canโt sit still for too long or find it overwhelming; YES itโs possible to reach a meditative state when youโre in motion.
